Ingredients:

  • 1 lb store-bought pizza dough
  • 2 cups sliced peppers and onions (1 small onion, 1 red pepper)
  • 3-4 Italian sausage links, removed from casing
  • 1/2 cup Francesco Rinaldi Savory Meat Sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté onion peppers and sausage, set aside.
  3. Roll out dough to a 16-inch circle, sprinkle the mozzarella all along the edge, top evenly with cooked sausage peppers and onion spoon over some of the sauce.
  4. Tightly roll away from you into a roll. Pinch the sides closed.
  5. Place seam side down on the baking sheet and using a sharp knife make a few cuts along the top for the steam to escape.
  6. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes.
