Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbl olive oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 large yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup Francesco Rinaldi Traditional Pasta Sauce
  • 2 tsp whole-grain mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted (or if you’re really leaning into Italian style, use Ciabatta rolls)

Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up into small crumbles with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Cook for about 8 minutes, until beef is cooked through and begins to brown. Add onions and peppers and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain fat from skillet.
  2. Stir in pasta sauce, mustard, chili powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes. Serve on toasted buns and grab the napkins.
